My Favourites

I thought since most of us are living in a society of total lock down it would be nice to share a post on 'My Favourites'. Little things I have been loving and wanted to share.

I hope you are all well and are staying safe. This time is difficult but we will get through it and the little things will matter so much more. Stay Positive.

1. Skin Care - My all time favourite is Tropic Skincare (Insta:@tropicskincare). This is a brand that is uses only complete natural products and all vegan of course. The products are bought direct from the supplier, they are not sold from any other retailer. They have a full range of products including bubble baths, hand creams, body wash and lotions. My personal favourite is there Face care range which I use every night to cleanse my skin. My nightly routine includes :
- Smoothing Cleanser
- Vitamin Toner
- Pure Lagoon Serum
- Skin Feast Moisturiser

I also use the bamboo cloth which is the softest cloth I have ever used it is my absolute Favourite, highly recommend!

2. Social Media - I know social media can sometimes be a place where we spend to much of our time or can develop an unhealthy relationship with but during this time of social distancing I think it's a great space to take your mind of things. I've been loving scrolling on Instagram seeing how every one is entertaining themselves and how we are all suddenly connecting with kindness. I always love to watch You Tube but I've particularly been loving watching how people are spending there time indoors.

My current obsessions are 'Sophia and Cinzia', these girls are best friends who have a channel together to share all things fashion, travel and homey vlogs. They also have the cutest instagram accounts@sophiatuxford and @cinziabayliszullo. Together they also have podcast The Girls Bathroom which is such a light hearted listen filed with girly chat.

I have also been loving a Emmas Rectangle on You Tube she is currently going through a fitness journey and is sharing all her meal prep ideas and home workouts which I have been loving to use. Insta: @emmasrectangle. She also does fashion, beauty and travel videos on her channel. Including her travel videos of South America which are so inspiring to watch.

I think social media is a lovely way to to take your mind away from the current situation and I have found it so comforting to see everyone coming together.

3.Small Businesses - During this period of lockdown it can cause alot of uncertainty among businesses big and small. I personally have been trying to shop from smaller online businesses during this time. I have loved exploring Instagram and Etsy to find small brands creating lovely content and products.

Made By Lauren is a lovely home made jewellery brand on instagram and etsy - @madebylauren. She creates the cutest necklaces, bracelets and earrings which are such good quality and amazing price! Every purchase comes perfectly packaged which I have pictured below. These pieces are perfect to treat yourself or a loved one to share happiness during this time.  Please go and check her out!

Sweet Events.est (instagram: @sweetevents.est16)

Sweet Events is a local brand that provides the prettiest Sweet Packages that are perfect for a event or for just a treat to brighten up your day. The products include, brownies and tray bake boxes, crazy amazing chocolate covered strawberries and giant cookie pie! All the items can be fully customised to fit your event or gift. During this time Sweet Events is providing a delivery service allowing you to send a box of sweetness to a loved one, to let them know you re thinking of them. So if your looking to treat yourself or someone you love then please check out this brand if you live in the Dundee area.

4. Activities - I always find it hard to keep myself busy whilst spending a lot of time at home but I have been working on it. Keeping busy is so important for me to keep in a positive mood, if I slow down too much my head starts to wander and I get upset. Thinking about all the things I am missing. But here and some fun activities you can do whilst staying home.

- Scrap booking - print out photos of your travels or fun times with friend and family. Get creative and enjoy looking back at the fun times.
- Puzzles - as a family we have been loving getting a big jigsaw out and working on it whenever we get a moment. It's great feeling when you see it finally finished and a lovely way to spend time together.
- Baking or Cooking - look on Pintrest and find those cool desserts and cookies you've always wanted to try and get baking. I have been loving making banana bread and brownies! My favourite places to find recipes are on the Zoella blog and @zoesugg book Cordially Invited. I do also love just looking through my cupboards and seeing what I can come up with.
- Planning - there has never been a greater time to sit down and plan your goals. I have been loving taking time every morning to plan out my day to give me a purpose for each day when I really don't have much to do. Also I have been planning out my different life goals and aspirations in my Law of Attraction Planner from @freedom mastery, which has kept me feeling grounded. I have also been planning my travel goals - which is nice to have things we can hope to look forward to.
- Yoga/Exercise - try a new workout you've been wanting too, this is the perfect time to get to know what exercises you like and don't. Hopefully we can carry these healthy habits into our lives when we get back to some normality.

Most importantly, Stay Home and Stay Safe x

Favourite Brunch and Coffee Spots

My absolute favourite thing to do is go for out for coffee or brunch at a cute little cafe. I love to explore all the different cafes and coffee stops near me with my friends and family or just by myself. Sitting down, having a catch up and eating some delicious food is such a good way to spend quality time (well that's what I think). Even if I'm on my own I can get some much needed work done on my laptop or just sit and take in my surroundings. Here I have complied some of my favourite places, the perfect places to go for a wee coffee or brunch and of course it's always a great photo opportunity! I am a sucker for cute presentation and I literally take photos of everything I eat, whoops.... But I honestly could not care. New Year Goal Setting

Its January 2020, not just a new year but a whole new decade! The time where everyone says - 'New year new me' - sets themselves big goals and has big plans for the coming year. This is great and I encourage everyone to set goals however a lot of the time, slowly but surely these resolutions and goals start to be forgotten about and we fall back into our old habits. Which can then make us feel deflated and down because we have not achieved what we waned too. Taking yourself back into that circle of unhappiness that you had worked so hard to get out of at the start of the year. So this year, 2020, still set yourself goals and make those resolutions however make them REALISTIC. Think - can I actually achieve this - can I put a plan in place that will allow me to be successful. If the answer is no then rethink you goal, make your goals smaller steps that will one day help you achieve your overall dream. Another tip is don't make too many new years resolutions as again they...
