Top festive anxiety tips!

Its December, its now time for the festivities to begin.

As much as this can be the most wonderful and happy time of year, it is also a period where many people struggle. When all the festive parties are planned and big get togethers many of us get anxious and nervous. What will I wear? Who should I speak to? Where will I sit?

For me this is often something I worry about. In this blog I hope to share my hints on how to enjoy the festivities and reduce those fears:

No. 1 - Get involved with the planning. Yes, this can often be a daunting thing in itself. However for me being the one organising makes me feel more at ease. I know all the information, who will be there, the dress code, what games we will play?  Therefore I can prepare a night that will feel comfortable in.

No.2 - Plan your outfits in advance. I am the WORST for this, I know its silly for me to promote this but honestly it just take so much of the stress away. If you have a outfit you love and feel good in this will make you feel a lot more calm leading up to the events. It's so important to feel comfortable in what you are wearing, I am my biggest critic and if I don't feel good in myself this can ruin my whole night. Loving yourself is so important in your happiness.

No.3 - Don't go alone. If your feeling particularly worried about a certain party, ask a friend or colleague if they would like to meet for a drink first or even share a taxi down. That way you will have someone at first to get in their with and then you can try speaking to others. Hopefully this will make you feel more comfortable in the first instance.

No.4 - You don't need to go all the time. The choice is yours, if your not feeling a big night out then that is your call. No one should make that decision for you. A cosy night on the couch with a hot chocolate might be what you need. Just make sure you are making your best efforts to go and if its too much for you then its pj's back on. Next time you'll be maybe get one step further and that's all that matters. Your life is about you - You can be selfish.

I hope this may help! Thankyou for reading.

5 Chill Day Ideas

I am the WORST for feeling like I need to be doing something all the time. Feeling like everyday I need to be out exploring, living my quote 'best life' and also showing the world that I am. Staying indoors all day just having a lazy day just seems impossible for me, maybe this is just me that struggles with this haha! But I can't seem to find comfort in chilling out at home and taking a day to rest. Often if I have no plans one day, my head will start to wander into a feeling of worrying and self loathing. I can't sit still, I get panicked and fill will stress.  This constant need to be out somewhere and achieving something has got my into a horrible circle of spending money just to entertain myself. Dragging my friends and family out places just so I am not stressed being in the house - when often they are more than happy watching tv all day.   So I have complied this list of things to do with your day in the house that if like me you struggle with boredom and ...

Routine in Isolation

As we all know this is a really weird time to be alive - all this uncertainty is causing all of us some added stress. I am finding it myself so hard to keep in a healthy routine when I feel so restricted in what I can do. Keeping myself busy is something I always struggle with and can become really flustered if I feel I have not been productive enough on a particular day. So in this post I am going to be sharing some tips that I will be using to try and keep myself in a healthy routine. 1. Follow your class/work schedule - Yes this sounds awfully simple and one in which you are probably trying to do. But it is so important. For me in my university career I have classes and work I need to be doing daily, therefore I am trying to follow these class timetables even when I'm not on campus. For example on a Monday morning I have my nutrition class therefore at that time at home I will look over my lecturers and do my work for that class. This is so important to ensure you don't...
